The Brookside House was built in the 1850's. Originally the house was known to be a stagecoach stop and a boarding house for the local mills. Also formerly a bed and breakfast, "The Brookside House" derived it's name from the past owners who named the house after the running brook and waterfall located on the property. Step back in time and come enjoy our cozy, rustic home in beautiful Maine. What could be better than spending a day on the slopes of one of the best ski resorts in the East and then coming home to our big, cozy country home? Where The Brookside House is located in the town of Lockmills, Maine which is a mere 10 minutes from the Sunday River ski resort, 5 minutes from Mt. Abram's ski resort and 5 minutes from the town of Bethel.
About The Brookside House features two fully furnished units. The first unit has 6 bedrooms and 3 full baths. This unit has a large country eat in kitchen with recently restored hardwood floors. The kitchen is equipped with gas stove, refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave, dishes and pots/pans. There is also a large dining room, oversized living room with couches, bumper pool table and a dart board. Within the six bedrooms are six double beds and two single beds. Guests are responsible for bringing their own linens.. The second unit is located on the ground level of the house and has it's own separate entrance. This unit features hardwood floors throughout, an eat-in-kitchen, living room and one bedroom with a double bed and one full bath.
